Her comfortable three-stateroom layout with the preferred private entrance to the master cabin, ruggedness and ease of operation are paramount requirements for owners planning ocean passages or family cruising. From the large aft cockpit area, one enters the main salon through a watertight Dutch door. An L-shaped settee is to port with custom teak high/low table. Opposite to starboard are a long settee and cabinets for storage and an entertainment system. Large opening windows provide great visibility, light and ventilation. Further forward, the U-shaped galley with granite bar countertop provides generous storage and counter space and is easily accessible from both salon and pilothouse. Galley storage is further enhanced by the lazarette located under the aft cockpit, where there is Grunert deep freeze with holding plates, numerous other storage lockers and a work bench ideal for long-range cruising. Opposite the galley, a private stairway leads down a half level to the master stateroom, as well as the main access door to the engine room. The engine room can also be accessed through a lift-up floor in the salon or through a watertight escape door in the lazarette. The Selene 57 features three staterooms: a mid-ship master with queen berth, VIP forward cabin with a queen berth, and a port side guest cabin with bunks.

The Selene 53 is one of the most successful yachts of the Selene Ocean Trawler line. It’s a displacement yacht meant for long-range cruising, big for her length and beamy. Her shape below the waterline and single engine is fuel efficient. The big slow-turning prop responds instantly to increases in throttle. Soft chines forward sharpen to hard chines near amidships, and from there to the transom, the run stays flat, much like that of a ship. It sweeps up to let solid water flow to the prop and rudder. A keel of barely discernible drag becoming deeper aft than forward provides directional stability, helps damp roll and protects the prop and rudder during grounding. The Selene 53 has its master stateroom amidships, the area of least pitching, a general design principle for a cruising yacht.

The Selene 47 is a larger sister to the ground-breaking Selene 43. The Selene 47 enjoys the many benefits of the larger design including a roomier salon, more height in the engine room, a commissary, and lazarette. The Cruiser Stern™ extended waterline also gives the yacht a 9 knot cruising speed with excellent fuel economy. The galley is offset to starboard, as is the settee in the pilothouse. Both changes create a much roomier feel in the salon and pilothouse respectively. A small helm chair can be installed at the lower helm. The Selene 47 was designed with the long-range cruising couple in mind. With its two staterooms and two heads, the yacht is also a good family cruiser. The stability of the Selene 47 is evident even in a choppy sea. With a range of not less than 2,000NM, the yacht is capable of ocean passages like any other Selene.

The Selene 43 Ocean Trawler is a serious “go anywhere” vessel. Her raised pilothouse, Portuguese bridge, and walk around side-decks make her ideal for blue-water cruising She is extensively equipped, comfortable at sea, and able to cruise the oceans of the world! Entering the salon from the covered aft deck, you will find a settee with table to port, stairs to the guest staterooms and the engine room port forward, the galley forward, stairs to the raised pilothouse to starboard and a lounge chair and cabinetry starboard aft. Step up into the pilothouse and you will find wing doors to each side deck and internal stairs to the flybridge. Step down into the guest foyer and you will find the engine room aft, guest stateroom to port, guest head to starboard and the master stateroom with ensuite head forward.
