On December 6, 2025, Jet-Tern Marine marked a historic milestone in its development. Owners and dealers from 14 countries—more than 50 overseas guests in total—gathered in Zhuhai, China to celebrate the grand opening of the brand-new facility.

Construction of the 38,800-square-meter facility began in January 2024 and was completed after 20 months of intensive work. The project reached successful completion at the end of 2025, with the opening ceremony held on this memorable day. This new facility features 5 production lines and is capable of building up to 30 yachts simultaneously. It includes newly upgraded FRP lamination area, painting booth, offices, and a spacious central plaza. Along with a significant increase in production capacity, the facility also represents a major upgrade in manufacturing equipment and overall capabilities.

The opening ceremony was attended by more than 50 owners and dealers from different countries, like USA, Canada, Russia, France, England, Australia, New Zealand, Cyprus, Spain, Greece, German, Philippine, Slovenia and China, representatives from various media, government officials, and the entire JTM team, creating a truly grand and festive atmosphere. During the ceremony, Eugene, Howard, and Wayne delivered inspiring speeches, reflecting on JTM’s journey, sharing their vision for the future, and expressing sincere gratitude to owners, partners, and all the staff who did a wonderful job for their long-standing support.

Twenty six years ago, sitting on the first Solo 43 (later to be Selene), Brian Calvert had an epiphany, this boat was his future.

After 20 months of intensive construction, Jet-Tern Marine’s new shipyard — covering an area of 38,000 square meters and featuring 40 berths — has been successfully completed.

The central facility, with a height of 16.9 meters, with four production lines, dedicated FRP lamination and painting workshops, as well as state-of-the-art equipment to support efficient yacht production.

The newly built dock area can accommodate up to 11 yachts, and the complex also includes offices, meeting room, and other supporting amenities to ensure a modern and comfortable working environment.

To celebrate this achievement, JTM will host the Selene Dealers’ Meeting on December 4–5, 2025, followed by a two-day Grand Opening Ceremony on December 6–7. Selene owners, dealers, and friends from around the world are warmly invited to join us the celebration. The event will feature spectacular fireworks, traditional Chinese dragon and lion dance performances. And two brand-new Selene yachts available for on-water tours — promising an unforgettable experience for all guests.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the shipyard was held in January 2024, witnessed by distinguished guests including Wayne and Paul from the US, Terry from Australia, Demitris from Cyprus, and Tony from the UK, marking a significant milestone in JTM’s development journey.

The second phase of construction will focus on building a marina, a 300-ton travel lift, and a on-water factory, which are expected to double the production capacity and further strengthen JTM’s operational capabilities.

Following the grand opening, a Selene Grand Opening China Tour will take place, with a group of twenty guests embarking on a cultural journey. The itinerary includes exploring the charming coastal city of Zhuhai, followed by a visit to Beijing to experience the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and other historical landmarks that showcase the richness of Chinese culture. Before returning home, the group will make a final stop in Hong Kong, enjoying its dynamic skyline and world-famous cuisine — a perfect finale to an extraordinary celebration.

The completion of the new shipyard marks a proud milestone for JTM and the Selene family. With expanded capacity, advanced facilities, and a global network of partners, the future promises even greater achievements on the horizon.

This September, the beautiful Baltimore Harbor came alive with excitement as it hosted the 2025 East Coast Selene Owners’ Rendezvous, a grand gathering of about 70 Selene owners.

Participants arrived from various ports, including the Selene 53 “KALLISTO”, which cruised three hours from Annapolis to Baltimore Harbor. In total, over 24 Selene yachts joined the celebration, creating a magnificent scene along the harbor.

Jet-Tern Marine, Selene Yacht founder & CEO Howard Chen presented the event. He, same as last year, traveled aboard the Selene 53 “KALLISTO” from Annapolis to Baltimore Harbor to attend the event. A total of 15 Selene yachts and another 5 Selene owners traveling separately, including 6 new owners with boats currently under construction. The atmosphere was warm, joyful, and filled with a strong sense of camaraderie among the Selene family.

Many owners praised Jet-Tern Marine’s craftsmanship, expressing their admiration for the superior quality and design of their yachts. One owner was especially delighted with the FRP wing door recommended by Candy, praising its perfect installation and elegant design. During the event, one new Selene 60 order was confirmed, and three additional potential clients met with the Selene team to discuss future yacht projects.

As the main sponsor, Selene Yachts America did an outstanding job in making the event a success. The contributions of volunteers and hosts Robin Newland and Glenda Groome added warmth and energy, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Old friends reunited with joy, and Howard presented two exquisite oil paintings — one of a Selene 53 and another of a Selene 57 — as heartfelt gifts to Selene owners, a gesture that deeply moved everyone present. After the event, Selene Yachts America also announced the opening of its new Annapolis office. Michael Chen attended the celebration, presenting a beautifully crafted set of Selene tableware as a token of appreciation.

The event not only celebrated the unique Selene lifestyle but also symbolized new beginnings for the brand in the U.S. market, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter.The final event of the Rendezvous was the Grand Parade, featuring an impressive fleet of 11 Selene yachts cruising together through Baltimore Harbor — a truly spectacular sight. Howard also addressed all owners via VHF radio, thanking everyone and wishing to see them again next year.

Filled with joy, friendship, and passion for the sea, the 2025 East Coast Selene Rendezvous concluded successfully. As the Selenes departed in elegant formation, their wakes shimmered under the sunset — a fitting symbol of the brand’s enduring spirit.

The 2025 Selene Owner’s Rendezvous took place from April 22–27 in the beautiful setting of Roche Harbor, Seattle. This year’s gathering welcomed 32 Selene yachts and approximately 100 owners and guests, all coming together to celebrate their shared passion for cruising and community.

Many old friend of Selene owners met together annually to chat their cruising story like the trip to Alaska … they are so enjoying their life of cruise with Selene and they all presence their appreciation to Howard and Jet-Tern Marine to built a high quality and beautiful boat for them, to make their dream come true.. many of them said people always asking what is the brand of their beautiful Selene, they all feel proud to be a Selene owner.

Over the course of four memorable days, attendees enjoyed a variety of activities including social gatherings, informative seminars, and the popular Trawler Crawl. The event also welcomed several new Selene owners who joined the rendezvous for the first time, adding fresh energy to the gathering.

Two Selene owner couples flew in from Europe to attend the Selene Owners’ Rendezvous in Roche Harbor, each bringing their unique cruising stories and enthusiasm for the Selene community. One couple, proud new owners of the Selene 66 MAZU, gave a presentation on their first major voyage—an unforgettable two-week cruise from L’Escala, Spain to Trieste, Italy. During this journey, they captured over 1,000 photos and videos, documenting the adventure and beauty of cruising aboard their Selene.

The second couple, from England, keep their Selene 60, Crescendo, moored in Europe and were equally thrilled to join the Rendezvous. For both couples, the pleasant moment was being surrounded by so many fellow Selene owners and yachts all in one place. They expressed how deeply they appreciated the warm, family-like atmosphere and felt that they had truly found a home within the Selene community.

Adding to the value of event, several practical App. Like www.predictwind.com also had their introduction to the attendees, renowned marine surveyor Steve D’Antonio delivered an insightful seminar on “Failure Analysis and Prevention.” His expert guidance provided extremely helpful and informative for all Selene owners in attendance, reinforcing the commitment to safe and knowledgeable cruising.

A special guest of the event was the debut of the Selene 92 Ocean Explorer, WATTA RYDE, the largest yacht ever built by Jet-Tern Marine.

The stunning vessel drew admiration from all attendees. Guests had the opportunity to tour the yacht and commemorate the moment with a group photo taken by drone.

Jet-Tern Marine’s founder and CEO, Howard Chen, along with Selene Yachts Americas, proudly served as the title sponsors of the event. Guests were thrilled by Howard’s presence, and each received a personally signed copy of the Selene Life book, making for a cherished souvenir.

At Saturday night’s farewell dinner party, everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet and fine wine, generously sponsored by Selene Yachts Americas. The evening included a fun raffle with a variety of great prizes—Howard even brought beautifully packaged Taiwanese tea from Taiwan as a special raffle gift. Each participating yacht received a custom-engraved glass with “Selene Owners West Coast Rendezvous 2025” as a  souvenir from the organizers. To wrap up the night, all the owners and guests signed on the Selene Owners’ Rendezvous banner, which was then presented to Howard as a heartfelt gift. He plans to proudly display it in the Jet-Tern Marine gallery.

The event concluded on a highlight with commanded by Cap. Wayne Goldman… a grand parade of 16 Selene yachts on a bright Sunday morning. Watching the elegant line of yachts circle back through the marina before setting out on their own adventures was a breathtaking finale.

At the end of the grand parade, Howard—aboard the Selene 92 with owner Kurt, beginning their 11-hour cruising back to Tacoma Marina—spoke over VHF to every Selene owner in the parade lineup:

“Dear Selene owners, this has been an amazing Selene Rendezvous and a grand parade with 16 boats in a line—a new record! I’m truly happy to have met you all. Enjoy your voyage on board Selene, I look forward to seeing you again next year!”

The 2025 Singapore Yachting Festival was grandly held from April 10th to 13th at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, bringing together numerous prestigious yacht brands from around the world. Jet Tern Marine proudly showcased the Selene 62 Ocean Explorer, highlighting its innovative design and superior craftsmanship to the Asian market.

The Selene 62 Ocean Explorer was successfully delivered in May 2024 in Hong Kong. This highly customized yacht was specially commissioned by a European owner, who chose warm oak tones for the interior decor, paired with unique stone materials and beige leathers, creating a cozy “home at sea” atmosphere. The wide-body salon, complemented by minimalist-style furnishings, delivers a clean, smooth, and spacious feel. While emphasizing a residential environment, the owner also placed a strong focus on professional seafaring needs. For example, a sliding door separates the salon from the pilothouse, and an independent island-style galley ensures that nighttime navigation remains undisturbed. Additionally, a semi-enclosed flybridge was custom-designed to enhance safety and comfort during rough sea conditions.
