Twenty six years ago, sitting on the first Solo 43 (later to be Selene), Brian Calvert had an epiphany, this boat was his future.
From that day on the Friday Harbor Yachts team went on to be legendary, the world’s largest Selene dealer for a decade, delivering nearly 150 Selene’s to the West Coast. Brian became intimately involved in the production, visiting the yard often monthly. Brian and Howard developed a deep friendship and business relationship that goes on to this day.
As a bonus for being the #1 Selene salesman in the world, Brian was able to order his own Selene 48 in 2005.
In 2009, Brian set of on the dream of a lifetime, venturing to Mexico, crossing the Pacific Ocean, visiting 16 countries and eventually arriving at his new home in the Philippines where he and his family livaboard and cruise Further today.
Brian now helps others combine two of his passions, owning a Selene Ocean Trawler and cruising in the paradise of SE Asia. He and his Filipina wife, Donna, operate Selene Philippines, which just procured its first new order, Selene 54 120 now under construction. Selene Philippines is helping buyers from around the globe take advantage of the low cost, no shipping, taxes or import fees, plus extremely low labor rates.
