In terms of the power system, the S6048 is fitted with a single John Deere 6090SFM 425hp main engine, a Yanmar 75hp auxiliary engine, a Northern Lights 30kw generator, Sidepower electric bow and stern thrusters, and Humphree electric stabilizers, ensuring stable and efficient navigation.
This trial was also supported by our Canadian consultant engineer Ayron, who came to commisioning the navigation system and the Maretron system. This not only helped save costs but also avoided the hassle of overseas commisioning.

JTM: What do you think about the boat, the quality…?
Ayron: What I appreciate the most about Selene Yachts is the full displacement Ocean Explorer style design, interior layouts, stunning handcrafted interior joinery, and the use of the best and most robust electronic equipment on the market. The handcrafted wood interiors are alluring and warm every time you step aboard a Selene.
JTM: What is the advantage of install the navigation system in shipyard? Do you suggest the commisioning in shipyard?
Ayron: Shipyard installation and commissioning of the electronic navigation and operational monitoring systems is critical for quality assurance. All aspects of design, selection of equipment and contributory components, procurement, installation and finally commissioning is a large task and responsibility. Having this left to an unknown third party can negatively affect the clients interface with and operation of the vessel.
JTM: How you feel to work with Jet-Tern Marine team?
Ayron: Working with the team has been a rewarding experience. Every department and team is enthusiastic and willing to help in any way they can. Every interaction shows dedication to their profession and craft.
JTM: This time is your first to been china? How do you think about the food ? Hotel? And the Zhuhai city image?
Ayron: My first trip to China has been exceptional and welcoming. Accommodations have been luxurious with the surrounding area of Zhuhai offering a modern, clean and mildly bustling setting. Dining has been outstanding with a diverse offering of regional styles.

We are pleased to have Dylan and Ayron as our long-term consultants, and we look forward to their continued technical guidance. With their support, we are confident that our company will continue to advance technically and rise to new challenges and opportunities.
